Lisa a renvoye la lettre de retractation pour annuler la vente du terrain du terrain et bâtiments "le Fontallier" adéquat pour Cyclane
Quelques remarques personnelles :
Il y a eu beaucoup de réactions positives, notamment sur des investissements financiers, venant de la liste et du réseau mondial sans voiture, ce qui augure du bon pour le futur
un grand merci à tous ceux de la liste qui ont réagi, malgré l’endormissement qui a précédé, nous sommes capables de réagir
Lisa en s’y mettant a trouvé ce terrain par la SAFER mais il fallait aller vite et s’engager, et faire de la paperasse de manière active
il existe des terrains adéquats, mais pas si souvent, et il faut qu’un agriculteur s’engage assez vite et a alors une grande charge de responsabilité sur ses épaules si il veut satisfaire aux demandes de cet organisme.
La discussion a coincé un moment sur le type d’engagement clair en lien avec Cyclane, en même temps cette idée de sans voiture est capable d’insuffler une dynamique, elle représente aussi un engagement difficile. J’étais de l’avis de mettre cet engagement comme base de départ et non pas comme décision à mettre entre les mains d’un groupe qui se retrouverait là.

Great news: The Carfree Ecovillage Project (Projet Cyclane in French)
has found an ideal site for the carfree ecovillage it is planning to
launch. One of the project members, Elisabeth Moy, has taken the
courageous step of putting down a deposit and signing papers.
It is 52-hectare farm (128.5 acres) at Fontallier, located two km from
the small town of St. Pierre-le-Moutier, between the larger towns of
Nevers and Moulin in the very geographic centre of France. The farm
includes a large cluster of buildings centred around a courtyard, in
various states of repair/disrepair, two large greenhouses, a water
source, etc. Five or six families could eventually be housed in the
existing buildings. The soil is good and was recently in production. A
train station is 2 km away. Conditions for cycling are ideal.

If the seller accepts the offer (there is a second candidate), there will be an urgent need for funds. The
idea will be to divide it into shares or form an association to hold the property as a land trust.

Bereits im Sommer 2005 gab es in Frankreich anläßlich einer alljährlich im Sommer stattfindenden Großveranstaltung zu konsequent ökologisch durchdachten Lebenskonzepten, bei der vier Wochen lang gemeinsam durch Frankreich gewandert wird (Berichte und Fotos von 2005), einen Workshop, bei dem an einem Konzept für ein autofreies Ökodorf gearbeitet wurde.

The Rural Carfreedom Project (projet Cyclâne, in French) was formed at the July 2005 walk to the protest of the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The project seeks to set up carfree ecovillages in France and possibly beyond. Project members are looking for sites of five hectares or more – with at least one building, a nearby train station (10 km max.) and public transport access and far from asphalt – that could be bought or rented for long-term use. The project intends to mix activities such as farming, production, culture and social events to create an economy of proximity and to develop research and innovation. Infrastructure for bicycles, horses and donkeys and public transportation would be developed in order to make carfree life nice and easy.

Search of area for Carfree village / News about the project of carfree ecovillage
At the walk there was (among many others) several workshops about the set-up of a carfree ecovillage in France (but it could also be elsewhere).
We send a call to all people supporting this idea, because we look for a site of 5ha or much more, with one building at least, close to a train station (10 km max) and public transports that could be bought, rented (or other arrangements) for a long term use. We do not look for an isolated place. This project is based on a contract between inhabitants not to use automobile transportation. It intends to create the spot for a large mix of activities, including farming, production, culture, social ones to create an economy of proximity and to develop research and innovation.
It would use soft transportation modes (public transports, bikes, animal power), internet and only allow cars in cases of fire and medical urgencies and some deliveries when no alternative exists.
With the carfree ecovillage, we try to come out of the dilemma:
- city life is dependent on networks like food distribution, water, waste treatments, consumption chains...and built environment that are not ecological,
- new countryside life is too much dependent on the car
- the ancient model of country life where people are closed up either not attractive.
With increasing oil prices, this idea seems unavoidable on the long-term.
Auch in 2006 gab es wieder die oben erwähnte vierwöchige autofreie Großveranstaltung in Frankreich, bei der sich unter anderem eben auch Pioniere treffen, die gemeinsam in Europa (vielleicht in Frankreich) eine autofreie Ortschaft gründen wollen.
Die vierwöchige Wanderung fand im äussersten Nordzipfel Frankreichs statt - also auch für Teilnehmer aus europäischen Nachbarländern gut erreichbar. (Neugierig, wie es bei der Veranstaltung z.B. so mit der Verpflegung aussieht? >> Bilder )
Der "Marche pour la décroissance en Nord Pas-de-Calais" fand statt vom 25. Juni bis 22. Juli 2006.
Der Termin für 2007 liegt mir noch nicht vor.
